IP rating stands for 'ingress protection' and the numbers refer to the level of protection given to electrical components (from water, steam and dust).
All our illuminated mirrors are IP44 rated which means they can be installed anywhere within bathroom zones 2 or 3.
Zone 2 is an area stretching 0.6m outside the perimeter of the bath and to a height of 2.25m from the floor.
Zone 3 is anywhere outside zones 0, 1 & 2 and where no water is likely to be used.
All our non-illuminated mirrors are designed for bathroom use but no IP rating is needed, as electrical components are not featured.
